Friday Faves

We just got news that there is a baby on her way. (10 days early!) I have to say, I never really understood the emotions experienced when someone you love is having a baby. I used to roll my eyes at all the 'auntie' blog posts and facebook photos. But now that one of my good friends is about to give birth, I'm in awe that someone I love is experiencing something so beautiful and life-changing. I want to cry about it and the baby's not even here yet...

Finally, I got this Ark & Co printed bird blouse from Piperlime with a gift card a few weeks ago. I loved it online, but but it ended up being a little different than I had thought (looser, less structured) and I was having trouble styling it. So with the help of polyvore, I put a couple style boards for inspiration. Anything you'd like to add?

    It's always cool to realize that two bloggers I follow (you and J!) know each other. I was excited to see your piece and, of course, love how you channeled your inner Ciara.

    Your Piperlime shirt is such a fab statement piece that you could highlight it with a more neutral bottom. I'm picturing a chocolate brown flare leg pant + the accessories from inspiration board #1. That necklace is adorbs.

    I used to be that way too! Now, my sister recently had another baby, this time a girl, and I'm ridiculously obsessed. There's just something about it! I hope all goes well and the baby and mom are healthy!

    I love the coral and pops of blue! So cute! and yay for babies! I'm an aunt myself, and love it because I can have all the joy of being with and playing with the baby without the late-night feedings. :)
